How Do We Worship?
Worship is what happens when we connect with God, learn His Word, pray, and spend time with other followers of Jesus. It’s a way of showing our love and devotion to Him.
Worship in Jesus’ Life
Jesus’ life was full of worship. He sang, prayed, and praised God. For example, before His execution, He shared a Passover meal with His disciples and they sang Psalms together (Psalms 113–118). Worship was part of His daily life.
What Worship Looks Like
Worship is any way we express devotion to God. It includes:
Singing and music
Prayer and reflection
Gratitude for God’s creation, relationships, or answered prayers
Whenever we recognize God’s goodness and amazing works, we are worshiping.
Worship in Community
Gathering with other Jesus followers, like in a church service, gives us space to worship together. Singing, praying, and sharing God’s Word help us remember who God is and celebrate His actions.
Practical Worship Today
You don’t need to wait for a service to worship. Take time every day to:
Thank God for what He’s done
Notice His work in your life and the world around you
Express your love and gratitude for Him
