How Does God Guide Us?

When we prayed, we asked God to help us know Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We also said, “Holy Spirit, You are my Guide.”

But who is the Holy Spirit?

And how does He guide us?

Who Is the Holy Spirit?

Jesus said the Holy Spirit is:

A Helper

A Comforter

A Guide

A Friend

Think of someone who supports you, gives wise advice, and stays with you when things are hard. That’s how Jesus describes the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the Spirit to everyone who follows Him.

Jesus’ Promise

Jesus told His followers that even though He would no longer be with them in person, God was not leaving them.

He said God would send the Holy Spirit to:

Be with them forever

Live inside them

Teach them

Remind them of what Jesus said

The Holy Spirit would bring God closer to us.

God Lives With You

When you say yes to Jesus:

God does not leave you on your own

The Holy Spirit comes to live in you

God guides you from the inside out

 

The Holy Spirit helps you:

Understand God’s Word

Make wise choices

Grow to be more like Jesus

Feel God’s comfort and peace
