What is Salvation?

Salvation means being saved from the punishment of separation from God. It’s God’s gift to us, offered through Jesus Christ. To receive salvation, follow these simple steps:

Admit you are a sinner

We all sin and fall short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23). Recognize that your sins separate you from God.

Ask for forgiveness

Confess your sins to God and sincerely ask Him to forgive you (1 John 1:9).

Believe in Jesus Christ

Trust that Jesus, God’s Son, died for your sins and rose again to give you eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).

Turn from your sins

Be willing to change your ways and live according to God’s will. This is called repentance.

Accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord

Invite Him into your life, trusting Him to guide you (Revelation 3:20).

When you do these things, you are saved! You are now part of God’s family and have the promise of eternal life in heaven:

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Why Do We Need Salvation?

God loves us deeply and desires a relationship with us. However, our sins separate us from Him. To restore that relationship, God sent Jesus to die for our sins and rise again. Through Jesus, we can receive forgiveness and eternal life:

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” (Ephesians 2:8)

What Happens After Salvation?

Once you accept Jesus, you become a new person:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
